Miró Retrospective 2018 Paris
Miró Retrospective 2018
From October 3 to February 4, the Grand Palais offers an exhibition on the Catalan Artist Joan Miró. This exhibition is a retrospective focusing on the artist’s pivotal periods, displaying over 150 works from the greatest European and American museums, as well as from private collections. For an amazing stay in Paris we offer you the most elegant Luxury Apartments that we have all around the city.
Bringing together nearly 150 works, the Miró Retrospective 2018 focuses on the technical and stylistic evolution of the artist. Paintings, drawings, ceramics, and sculptures trace the constantly changing work of Joan Miró, influenced by poetry, such as that of his friends Jacques Prévert and André Breton. You will see a beautiful staging for the Grand Palais areas promoting Miró’s main works and reminding of his Mediterranean style.
The Miró Retrospective 2018 exhibition starts with the Fauvism, Cubism and detail periods before continuing with the surrealist era where Miró invented a poetic world, unknown in the 20th century. The last rooms focus on the artist’s last 25 years, when Miró lived in Mallorca and created bigger art works.
The schedule of the Miró Retrospective 2018 is as following: Monday, Thursday and Sunday from 10 am to 8 pm. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm. Closed on Tuesdays.
